About the Role

As an industry & academic sponsorship lead of BioTEC 2021, you will have a unique opportunity to engage with industry and academic leaders in the biotechnology field. In planning and executing the sponsorship strategy, you will lead BioTEC’s fundraising efforts and grow our sponsor portfolio with existing and new partners. You will also have the chance to work closely with students with a variety of backgrounds and interests, while cultivating substantial leadership and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

We would love to meet you if you:

• Have demonstrated significant leadership through academics, extra-curricular activities, or community involvement;

• Can communicate effectively (written and verbal);

• Thrive within a feedback-oriented environment (giving and receiving);

• Can manage priorities, timelines, and expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, without compromising on the quality of outputs;

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience running large-scale online or in-person events

• Experience fundraising and securing sponsors

• Comfortable communicating with industry experts and professionals (cold calling & emailing)
