Garima is a U of T student pursuing Neuroscience and Cells & Systems Biology. As Co-Chair, she strives to connect students and professionals in STEM, overseeing in-person and online platforms for networking and engagement in all fields.
Sean is in his 3rd year of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. As Conference Co-Chair, he hopes to lead this year’s BioTEC team to new heights and inspire the next generation of Canadian biotech students.
Kerry, a Neuroscience and Physiology grad from the Univ. of Toronto, is BioTEC 2023's Director of Logistics. Passionate about tech and scientific communication, Kerry strives to inspire future leaders in biomedical technology through an engaging platform for students and professionals.
Kristen, a third-year Biology student at McGill University, is passionate about cancer research and health tech. She aims to empower individuals in improving human health. As a Logistics Lead, she creates engagement platforms, develops content, and supports innovation.
Nicole, UofT grad in Stats & Econ, focuses on Data Analytics. Passionate about healthcare innovation, she applies knowledge to pre-market biopharma research. As BioTEC's Logistics Lead, she organizes conferences fostering curiosity & innovation in biotech. Excited to connect like-minded people.
Andrew is a second year biomedical engineering student at the University of Waterloo. As a Logistics Lead, Andrew is looking forward to helping students connect with industry leaders to further develop their interest in the biotechnology field.
Shraavya Subodh, a McMaster University student, is passionate about promoting biotechnology in healthcare. As a Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization student, she eagerly works with the logistics team to plan the conference, inspiring others to pursue biotech passions.
Milly Htein, a third-year biomedical engineering student at Toronto Metropolitan University, is passionate about sensor and cardiology research. As BioTec's Logistics Lead, she aims to foster a community of motivated innovators, supporting breakthroughs in biotechnology.
Poorvi is a 4th year undergrad at the University of Toronto, studying Computational Cognition and Computer Science. With a passion for UI/UX design and interdisciplinary problem-solving, she's the Marketing Director rebranding BioTEC & broadening the conference's reach.

Michael is a 4th-year student studying Biology with a focus on Cell Biology at the University of Toronto. He intends to spread awareness about BioTEC in an attempt to inform students about the cutting-edge research currently being done in Biotechnology.
Alia is starting her 3rd year in BHSc, intending to discover and expand on her interests. As a Marketing Lead, Alia hopes to integrate her creative skills and passion for learning into making BioTEC a welcoming space for brilliant minds and innovative ideas.
Jaafar is a 4th-year biomedical mechanical engineering student at the University of Ottawa. With a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, he is the Director of Sponsorships, creating networking opportunities for students to connect with organizations and explore career paths.
Goktug Bender is a third year psychology major, minoring in behavioral science and social studies of medicine at McGill University. His interests include neuroscience, cognitive science decision making and healthcare related start-ups.
Ibrahim Alayche, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Translational & Molecular Medicine, plans to pursue common law at uOttawa in Sep. 2023. Ibrahim aims to forge partnerships with organizations to advance scientific knowledge and innovation in biotech.

Jessica is a third year studying Biotechnology/Economics at the University of Waterloo. Her career interests include biostatistics and pharmaceutical innovations. She is excited to be developing her background in financial and legal operations.
Rosalie, a 3rd-year Biomedical & Chemical Engineering student at McMaster, seeks innovative solutions in personalized healthcare, drug delivery & synthetic biology. As Co-Director, she promotes accessibility, sustainability & empowerment in biotech.
Legal and Mergers Lead
Maria is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto St. George Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physiology researching pathophysiology of pediatric asthma at SickKids. She is returning as Legal lead to provide consultation on legal aspects of BioTec as a non-profit and facilitating Biotec Director meetings.
BioTEC 2020 was dedicated to Jaya, who passed away in October 2020. Jaya was an integral member of the BioTEC Executive Team and contributed significantly to conference growth through her work on the marketing team. Jaya's joy and enthusiasm shone through in all of her interactions, within the team and beyond, and she will be dearly missed.
